JOB ADVERT: FIELD OFFICERS-ARUA, YUMBE AND ADJUMANI DISTRICTS

  1. Background:

CSBAG is a coalition formed in 2004 to bring together CSOs at national and district levels to influence government decisions on resource mobilization and utilization for equitable and sustainable development. CSBAG was created out of a desire to collectively influence government and effectively participate in setting national budget priorities.

CSBAG with support from ECHO in partnership with DanChurch Aid, LWF, Uganda Red Cross Society and CEFORD is currently implementing a project titled “enhanced resilience of refugees and host communities in West Nile sub region through a coordinated and effective anticipatory and early response to multi hazard emergencies” which requires a field officer in the districts of Arua, Yumbe and Adjumani. Therefore, CSBAG seeks to recruit Field Officers that will be based in Arua, Yumbe and Adjumani Districts. He/she will provide support to the organization’s field related advocacy activities.

2.            Minimum Requirements

  • Possess a Bachelors Degree or its equivalent in Development Studies or similar study areas.
  • A minimum of at least 2 years experience working in community-based advocacy programs in the humanitarian sector in Disaster Risk management
  • Experience in community training and mobilization is an added advantage.
  • Possess exceptional interpersonal skills, including relationship building, presentation skills, and partnership development between CSOs and Government.
  • Ability to undertake local government budget analysis and performance assessments.
  • Fluency in English and the local language (A must).
  • Good computer skills in Windows environment, knowledge of internet communications and Microsoft Office applications.
  • A recommendation letter from LC I Chairperson.

3. Contract

The contract is one year with possibility of extension according to candidate’s performance
