OVERVIEW
CSBAG and Diakonia are implementing the “Enhancing Gender Responsive Accountability, and citizen’s Empowerment (GRACE) project supported by European Union, to strengthen the capacity of Local Governments, communities and Non-State Actors to prioritize Gender Responsive Budgeting through participatory planning, budgeting and joint service delivery monitoring in Aleptong and Amolator Districts.
The project is being implemented in 6 sub-counties i.e Aloi, Awei and Omoro in Alebtong District and Namasale, Muntu and Agwingiri sub counties in Amolatar district.
The project is under the Development Initiative for Northern Uganda (DINU) project which is coordinated by the Office of the Prime Minister (OPM). The overall DINU project Goal is to consolidate stability in Northern Uganda, eradicate poverty and under-nutrition and strengthen the foundations for sustainable and inclusive socio-economic development. It will focus on the sub-region of West Nile, Acholi, Lango, Teso and Karamoja, through a multi-sectorial approach.
