SENIOR ECONOMIST (SE)
| REPORTING TO | DEPUTY EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR |
| RESPONSIBLE FOR | Economists ` |
| PRIMARY PURPOSE OF POSITION | The SE’s primary job purpose is to oversee and support the economic research and analysis of CSBAG and its members. The SE is the lead budget and economic analyst for the organization and provides expert analysis and timely advice to the organization and its members. |
| KEY SPECIFIC DUTIES | 1. The SE serves as an analytical resource for the whole organization, including its members and stakeholders such as policymakers and the private sector. 2. The SE monitors and explains current economic trends in key sectors at national, regional, and global levels. 3. The SE promotes economic capacity building for CSBAG staff, members, and other stakeholders. 4. SE Coordinates policy level engagement with policymakers at all levels and systematically tracks implementation of policy recommendations resulting from CSBAG engagement. |
| SCOPE OF IMPACT | The SE’s role is of high impact as s/he leads in strategic management and leadership of CSBAG Public Finance Management work. S/he works with other staff members in shaping the implementation of the organization’s programs and Strategic Plan. |
| MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS | Master’s Degree in Economics Possession of strong quantitative, analytical, writing, and presentation skills, as well as the ability to work as a team and in a fast-paced environment is an added advantage. |

FINANCE ASSISTANT
| REPORTING TO | ACCOUNTANT |
| RESPONSIBLE FOR | None |
| PRIMARY PURPOSE OF POSITION | To assist with the day-to-day process of financial transactions. S/he keeps frequent contacts with staff at various levels in the offices and external stakeholders, including Bank officials and suppliers. |
| GENERIC COMPETENCIES | To succeed in this role, you should be a reliable professional familiar with risk management and NGO’s industry standards. Your goal will be to ensure we operate in a legal and ethical manner while meeting our organizational objectives. You must be a detail-oriented individual with a strong understanding of financial management policies and regulation. |
| KEY SPECIFIC DUTIES | 1.Processing and preparing financial statements. 2. Processing bank transfer requests. 3. Completing and submitting all statutory returns. 4. Checking and updating ledger balances. 5. Updating financial management system. 6. Assist in performing periodical accounting reconciliations for review. 7. Assist in filing, preparing and management of files for reporting and audits. |
| QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE | 1. A University degree/Diploma in finance, audit, accounting, or any related field is preferred. 2. A minimum of 3 years of progressively responsible experience in financial compliance, audit, accounting, and risk management 3. Experience with audit programs or projects funded by international donor institutions is required. 4. Knowledge of quick books |

PROGRAM ASSISTANT

| RESPONSIBLE FOR | None |
| PRIMARY PURPOSE OF POSITION | Responsible for providing administrative and technical support to CSBAG Economists in planning and implementation of program work. |
| GENERIC COMPETENCIES | 1. Commitment to the vision and mission of CSBAG 2. Effective time management 3. Integrity 4. Self-drive and initiative 5. Good writing and presentation skills 6. Proactive and results-oriented 7. Ability to multi-task with minimal supervision. |
| KEY SPECIFIC DUTIES | 1. Contribute to strategic planning within the Programme Team, including annual and medium-term planning and monitoring. 2. Support the program team with research and compilation of updated economic data. 3. Maintain and update a data bank for key social and economic indicators for Uganda. 4. Provide technical support to CSBAG members as may be called up upon by your supervisor. 5. Participate in the implementation of and monitoring of CSBAG budget advocacy work as guided by your supervisor. |
| QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE | 1. University Degree in Economics / Social Science 2. Substantial demonstrable experience of program work 3. Exposure to economic research skills and ability to understand and interpret economic data is an added advantage. |
