DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The Holder is responsible for managing all internal and external communications for the organisation ensuring its messages are consistent. He/She is responsible for developing and implementing an integrated communications strategy to increase awareness and recognition for the organisation work. This is a high impact job

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

1. At least a Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations or related field
2. 2+ years prior experience in a communications or advocacy role
3. Understand the best practices of main social media channels including Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest, etc
4. Must possess exceptional writing skills and be able to compose engaging and accurate content
5. Strong communicator who works well independently and with a team
6. Superior time management skills and the ability to juggle multiple tasks simultaneously
7. Knowledge of Adobe PhotoShop, InDesign, and Illustrator is an asset
8. Understanding of communications, public relations and branding best practices
9. Ability to think strategically and identify ways to improve communication efforts
10. Must be resourceful and take initiative even when given minimal direction
